Dieser Webstuhl war der letzte, der in Pregarten in Betrieb war. Er stammte aus dem Haus des Glasermeisters Georg Wolfsegger.
Seit vielen Jahrhunderten stand in fast jedem Haus in Pregarten ein Webstuhl. Kaiserin Maria Theresia hatte verfügt, dass nicht mehr als drei Webstühle pro Haus erlaubt waren.
Die Zunft – der organisatorische Zusammenschluß – der Weber in Pregarten hatte in der Blütezeit über 100 Mitglieder und reichte weit über das heutige Gemeindegebiet hinaus.

This loom was the last one to be in operation in Pregarten. It came from the house of the master glazier Georg Wolfsegger.
For many centuries there was a loom in almost every house in Pregarten. Empress Maria Theresa had decreed that no more than three looms were allowed per house.
In its heyday, the guild – the organisational association – of the weavers in Pregarten had over 100 members and extended far beyond today's municipal area.
